Donating & Recycling your Lush Wig/s

We have been working alongside the NHS and The Teenage Cancer Trust at Hull University Teaching Hospitals since 2021. Through this partnership, the wigs from our wonderful community donations are inspected and sent alongside wigs from our stock room, directly to the Teenage Cancer Unit at Castle Hill Hospital. They help stock a dedicated, age-appropriate wig service that provides modern, vibrant styles to young people undergoing treatment. Want to know more? please read the “Hull story” article.

Want to donate your wig?

To maintain the quality standards required by the unit, we can only accept official, gently used Lush Wigs products for this program. Please contact our support team with your original order number (using the email address associated with your order will also show your details) so we can verify your item and provide your donation delivery instructions.

Wig recycling program

If the wig is beyond repair we do not want our wigs going to landfill so we have a box from Terracycle that recycles synthetic Lush wigs into reusable plastic.

How to recycle your old Lush Wigs

Send your used Lush wig/s back to us here, through our recycling programme.

Please note: we can only accept official, used Lush Wigs products for this program.

Product website tags

Throughout our website you’ll see little tag boxes that appear for certain products.
Here is an explanation of what they all mean.

NEW STYLE – As it says. New style. Any recently added styles will have this tag.

LTD EDTION – These styles are limited edition. They will not appear in our catalogue after initial release.

LAST CHANCE – We are about to discontinue any styles that have the ‘last chance’ tag. Once sold, we do not plan to restock this style. Unless in some cases, its voted back.

PRE-ORDER – Many customers miss out when we restock. After much feedback we now offer a pre-order system so you can pay in advance to be sure you do not miss out.

EVERYDAY – Many people use our wigs for their everyday hair so any styles tagged ‘everyday’ are styles we plan to never discontinue. They are some of our staples. We will do our best to keep these styles in our catalogue forever.

JOIN WAITLIST – This means the style is currently out of stock. You can join the waitlist and be notified via email when the style is back with us and in stock.

DISCONTINUED – It’s a sad day but styles do need to make way for newer stuff. This means we no longer stock that particular style.

I hope this has helped understand what these little colour tags are for. As always, any questions at all just get in touch with us.
