We love an awards ceremony, not just for the speeches, over-the-top outfits and red carpet posing, but becuase it’s a prime time to spot some fake hair. Good and bad, celebs LOVE to don a wig or some serious extensions for an event like the Grammys – and we are here for it. If you think this is bad, just wait for the Brit awards!
She’s not one to shy away from a LOOK – so we weren’t surprised to see Cardi B in this insane outfit with pearl encrusted wig, it’s insane but we kinda love it. The human hair wig (we see you, lace front!) was styled using a Dyson Airwrap and secured with a few baby hairs out at the front to soften it. It’s a gorgeous finish.
Clip in ponytail alert! JLo did the classic hat and clip-in trick (OK, they may have been extensions but please let me think she didn’t bother doing anything with the hair under the hat)! Anyone who has ever donned some head-wear to hide the natural mess and stuck out the glam pony or extensions that are in waaaay better condition than your real hair, JLo and I know this feel.
Is some of it real? Is none of it real? We don’t know or care, this retro 60s beehive is giving us LIFE. We are suckers for this look, Lana Del Rey usually works our 60s siren dream hair (with more extensions than real hair, admittedly) but she wasn’t there ???? It’s almost drag levels of wig. It’s fabulous.
This is the best shot I could get of this, but…Did Ashlee give her hairstylist the night off? This is one seriously obvious clip-in for a big red carpet event. Don’t get me wrong, I love a clip-in pony, but this seems kinda quickly put together. But hey, different strokes for different folks, and that jumpsuit is killer.
The obvious sign of hair extensions is that pesky short bit next to your neck that never looks right, and poor singer Saint Heart was rocking it on the red carpet. She opted for bright extensions that partially matched her bleached hair but also had some pinks and purples to match her butterfly dress. We know they aren’t real, but we love ’em.
It wouldn’t be a fake hair run-down without Queen of wigs Dolly who was rocking a big, bleached ‘do this year, what’s new? We love it!
